4. Book a flight and a rental car

➡️ I recommend using Skyscanner to search through all available flights to find the cheapest.
If you’re flying to the destination, you’ll need to rent a car for when you get there.
➡️ Book a car through Discover Cars – you enter your destination and they scan all of the available cars in all the agencies to find the best price for the type of car you want.
➡️ You can also read my Guide to Finding the Cheapest Rental Car for handy tips.
5. Decide your itinerary
There’s a LOT that goes into planning a trip to Yellowstone. There are 5 entrances, loads of highlights, including geothermal features, wildlife and waterfalls, and they are spreads out with long drive times between attractions. The park is also one of the most crowded in the summer, and the main season when everything is open is short.
This make organizing all the logistics tricky. You need to be in the right place, at the eirght time, in the right order.
To help withthis, I created very detailed itineraries for Yellowstone National Park. They will give you all the information you need on one spot, and take away the overwhelm.

There are lodges inside the national park, campgrounds inside the park, and plenty of additional accommodations options in several nearby gateway towns.
