Yes, snowfall is common at higher elevations, with the Grand Canyon snow season typically spanning from late November to early March. The North Rim, which is about 1,000 feet higher than the South Rim, is usually totally snowed in over winter. The South Rim is open year round, but does get some snow.

Visiting the Grand Canyon in snow offers a unique and serene experience, as the parkā€™s landscapes are adorned with a pristine layer of white. However, even on the South Rim, the Grand Canyon snowfall can lead to temporary closures of some roads and trails, so itā€™s essential to plan accordingly and stay informed about current conditions.
