Sedona is a red rock town. Surrounded by brilliant red rocks, and just ten minutes from Slide Rock State Park and twenty minutes from Red Rock State Park, it’s a hiker’s mecca.
It’s also a perfect place to chill and relax by the pool or with a glass of wine. Grand Canyon’s south rim is a two- hour drive away, making it a bit far (though certainly not impossible) for a day trip, but it’s a very popular (and highly recommended) inclusion in a trip to Grand Canyon, either before or after.

They decide where to stay, but still worry about how to minimize the crowds, what to do – and when – and how to coordinate it all.
