How to Decide Your Flights to Monument Valley, Utah?

Before deciding where to fly into when visiting Monument Valley, there are various things to think about. These include whether you’ll be visiting any other areas, your time scale, where you might stay, where you’re traveling from and of course your budget.

  1. Where else are you planning to go on your trip? You might want to take a road trip around Utah and/or Arizona while you’re in this part of the US, for instance. If you do want to visit other regions, then it’s worth considering where to go before making a final decision about flights.
  2. When are you going? Flights to and from certain airports – particularly minor ones – may be seasonal services only.
  3. Where are you staying? Where you’ll stay while visiting the park also comes into play, and the distance to this location from the airport can be key. For Monument Valley National Park, you might stay in Utah, or across the state line in neighboring Arizona.
  4. How much time do you have? How much time it takes to travel to and from the airport needs to be factored into your total trip time.
  5. Where are you flying from? While bigger airports will offer more destinations, it is possible that a smaller airport will offer flights to and from the city you want to fly from. So it’s best to check before making any assumptions!
  6. What’s your budget? No one really wants to pay more for a flight than they have to. You may find it’s worth paying more for convenience, though. Or you might have to when there isn’t much competition for the route you want to take.
  7. Do you have a frequent flyer program with an airline you often use? If so, it may be worth picking up points by sticking with that airline when booking your flights.
  8. What type of car do you want to rent when you arrive? When you’re open-minded about the sort of car to drive, then this might not matter so much. But if you have your heart set on – or really need – a particular type of hire car, then you might have to pick an airport with a rental desk that can supply this.
