Which part(s) of the national park will you be visiting? The national park is officially called North Cascades National Park Complex and it is divided into four main sections.  Most people visit Ross Lake National Recreational Area, which the North Cascades Highway (Route 20) runs along.  North of that is the remote North Cascades National Park North Unit, which goes to the Canadian border, and south of it is – not surprisingly – North Cascades National Park South Unit.  South of that is Lake Chelan National Recreational Area, which includes Stehekin.
